1937'D' Three-Legged. Brilliant Uncirculated. Delicate golden toning over lustre and a decent strike on this popular variety. The surfaces are clean and show very few signs of handling. Identifiable by a minute tick on the base between the bison's hind legs. The head of the bison is a trifle weak, but this is standard for the die pairing. Always in strong demand, on this one has been put away and carefully preserved since the time of issue.
Ex Stack's Auction, June 1999, lot 1946.
