Here is William Barber's elegant version of a seated Liberty shown hiding the U.S. shield behind her right knee and a minute ribbon inscribed LIBERTY. The reverse identifies the pattern with the abortive lighter-weight STANDARD Silver coinage that was proposed to get precious metal coins back into post-Civil War circulation.
