1803 B.5 (R-3). Small 3. About Very Fine. Generally smooth, golden gray surfaces include definite hints of pale lavender in the toning. Well struck and exhibiting a pair of very minor rim bruises near 'OF' on the reverse. A glass discovers many fine surface marks, none of which diminish the overall eye appeal of this early Silver Dollar. The 1803 is the scarcest date among the Heraldic Eagle type. As such, this specimen would make a welcome representative even in a type collection including scarcities and key dates rather than the more commonly available issues of each type.
