1858/7 Snow 1, Die State A. Large Letters. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Here is a gloriously clear example of this important overdate in a very early die state. The top of the '7' shows boldly just right of the '8'. A bold die chip appears in the smooth, lustrous field just above the first '8', diagnostic for Die State A. While many copper-nickel Cents took a golden tone, this meticulously detailed specimen displays a magnificent silver sheen of great purity, shifting to a suggestion of peripheral gold at the crisply defined outer rim to create extraordinary visual appeal. Simply stated, this is a spectacular virtual Gem.
