1875'S'/'CC' FS#$1.00-012.5. Brilliant Uncirculated, virtually Choice. Type One Obverse, Type One Reverse. Blazing white lustre throughout and quite attractive for this elusive issue. A few faint field lines keep this one from a Choice grade, but it arguably has the eye appeal expected for this grade level. The overmintmark is clear with a magnifier, with the first 'C' close to the 'S', and the second 'C' well to the right, over the right side of the post of the 'D' below. Excellent surfaces for this popular Trade Dollar, with clean rims and fields. The strike is sharp on most of the devices, although slight weakness is present on Liberty's head. Always seen with die cracks through the reverse legends, and a tiny rust pit is found on the top of the '7' of the date and near Liberty's elbow on her branch arm. A rare and desirable coin in this collector pleasing grade.
