In fact, the coloration, vibrance, and visual presentation are far nicer than many technically Gem specimens. Glowing liquid-mirror fields and cameo design elements adorn both the obverse and reverse. There is a veil of light russet-golden toning that is embellished by iridescent electric-blue and mauve peripheral highlights. Close examination of the underlying surfaces with a glass yield only the most trivial of imperfections, none of which at all impede the appearance of this lovely coin. The total mintage of this scarce date includes only 725 Proofs and 48,900 circulation strikes.
