1802 B.6. Narrow Date. Choice About Uncirculated. One of the most common die pairings of any Draped Bust Dollar, but always in strong demand for the date. Toned with light steel-gray with blue accents through the stars and legend. Exceptional eye appeal for the clean surfaces and regal toning, all elements missing from the vast majority of Bust Dollars. The obverse and reverse die held up extremely well, developing no heavy cracks or production slowing clash marks found on most other dies. The reverse die does have a minor crack, on the left wing from the second feather down from the top to the rim. This crack appears soon after the reverse die began coinage in 1801, and shows to varying degrees on each of the six obverse dies paired with this singular reverse. Quality Draped Bust Dollars are always in demand and never go out of style.
