1799 B.9. A strong, well struck About Uncirculated, with claims to a higher grade. Deeply toned with dark gray with gun metal blue accents in the fields. Identifiable by a vertical nick on Liberty's jaw, and a shallow scratch under her chin. A splash of brassy color is noted on and near the eagle's neck. Heavy die polishing lines are present on Liberty, curving through her bust, hair and drapery. A common variety but a specimen that is impressive for the grade.
