This coin is just the right color, a soft silver-gray mixed with orange-gold with ample lustre in the fields and within Liberty's curls. The strike is sharp enough to bring out all the desired definition on the stars and curls on the obverse, matching on the reverse where the clouds, stars and eagle all show the desired definition. No rim bumps or adjustment marks detract, and the only mentionable scratch is a thin one which crosses the lower portion of Liberty's neck into the field. Faint slide mark hairlines are also present on Liberty's profile. A later die state with multiple reverse cracks, three of which converge on the first 'T' of STATES, others encircle the legend crossing various devices and fields in their stress relieving quest. A splendid coin that any collector will cherish.
