Probably the Finest Known as this is the finest reported in AMBPR by Steve Herrman and is the finest listed in the Overton/Parsley census as the sole MS64. Although a common variety, the present coin is simply a delight to study. Creamy white lustre throughout, and sharply impressed on all save two obverse stars which don't quite show their bold radial lines. There are signs of toning--a thin golden hue--but this fails to diminish the booming radiance imparted by the dies. Examination of the surfaces will find a couple of tiny scuffs on Liberty's jaw and neck, while the open fields are very clean and attractive. A coin of exceptional quality. PCGS MS64.

Ex Remick Collection (Stack's, September 1997, lot 824).
