This pleasing example of a rare and famous variety exhibits minimal wear and is made memorable by an exceptionally clear overdate showing an unmistakable '7' within the '8'. Another feature of interest is the bold die clash on the obverse which places the sharply defined incuse letters 'E I' near Liberty's knee.
