1825/3 Br.2. 'L' Counterstamp over Head. Choice About Uncirculated. Deep russet toning over well preserved surfaces. The coin has a sharp strike which further enhances its bold visual attraction. This coin bears the enigmatic 'L' counterstamp above the head. Quarters dated 1815 and 1825/4 are known with this and an 'E' Counterstamp whose exact meaning has long been debated.
