1880 Choice Brilliant Proof overall. A glowing, well mirrored obverse enjoys claims to the Gem category. The reverse reflectivity, however, is a trifle subdued. Both sides display rich golden toning that is highlighted by lovely mauve peripheral iridescence. Scarce as only 1,355 Proofs and 36,000 circulation strikes were produced.
