One of 1,520 Proofs struck; PCGS has certified only 95 at this lofty grade. PCGS PR65.

Early Proof Buffalo Nickels were officially described as Matte, though this denomination generally shows more brilliance than Bronze coins struck with this short-lived Proofing process.
