1795 Br.2a, C.2a (R-3). Punctuated Date, Lettered Edge. HALF Below Leaf Tips. Fine-12 but showing signs of an ever so gentle cleaning long ago on the obverse. Early reverse die state shows minor swelling through 'MER'. The surfaces reveal some decidedly light porosity on either side, but the overall appearance is uniform and quite pleasing. The color is a handsome olive-brown. Excellent reverse definition and sharp edge lettering complete this coin's roster of attractions. Identifiable by an extremely faint scratch in the field from Liberty's nose down toward the rim across from her chin.
