 1906 Very Choice Brilliant Proof. This magnificent example of 94 Proofs struck of this largest denomination as the Liberty series was drawing to its close. Substantial contrast is shown between the glowing, lightly frosted devices on this near-Gem and its profoundly reflective fields, awash in gleaming light gold for the greatest beauty. The 10-year Dannreuther-Garrett auction listing shows 21 appearances of Proofs of this historic date, only six of which bore this exceptionally high grade.
