About Extremely Fine in strict terms of circulation. Excellent smooth gold color, evidence of skillful repair at top of Liberty's cap and in the reverse field. Here is an interesting example of the first Half Eagle mintage that would make a fine representative coin for a Type collector who is willing to overlook this coin's shortcomings.
