 1917'S' Mintmark on Obverse. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. An outstanding coin for this date and mint which boasts a bold strike on the obverse and reverse save for the leading feathers on the eagle's thigh. Satiny yellow lustre throughout, with the usual minor shiny spots in the field close to the legend near the eagle's beak. Soft golden toning has settled over the coin, with no signs of the usual mishandling or cleaning. Identifiable by a single reeding nick above the motto, ending in the field well below the 'Y' of LIBERTY. An exceptional specimen for the advanced collector who appreciates such lofty quality.
