 1897'O' Gem Brilliant Uncirculated and an exceptional specimen in every respect. Velvet-silk fields and design features reveal only the most insignificant of trivial surface defects on either the obverse or the reverse. The strike is much sharper than normally encountered on Mint State coins of this date, and is further enhanced by rich iridescent russet-golden hues. In light of the great rarity of top quality specimens from this issue, we certainly feel that the coin offered here is a strong candidate for the condition census. NGC MS66.
