1893 From a technical standpoint, this dazzling coin would only grade Brilliant Uncirculated with claims to a Choice classification. The strike however, is entirely sharp and, more importantly, the fields exhibit an amazing degree of prooflike reflectivity. We are satisfied furthermore, that this coin is not a Proof, as the rims are clearly those of a circulation strike and the coin simply does not have the ''umph'' that characterizes a Philadelphia mint Proof. An interesting coin in its own right, and certainly one that will attract its fair share of bidder interest.
