 1872 Superb Gem Brilliant Proof. Deeply toned with dark blue with aqua around the rims, the centers more russet-gold. Perfectly matched on each side, and rather intense when examined under a light. The strike is typically sharp, and the surfaces are exceptionally clean. Identifiable by a short lintmark hanging off the right side of the 'A' in HALF. Mintage for the year was 950 pieces. NGC PF67.
