1867'S' WB.101. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. This is the very small mintmark variety, although there may be something looming in the denticles which appears to be the top part of an '8' and a '6' below those respective figures. Light golden toning over lustre, with a trace of blue near the rims. Excellent surfaces for the grade, with one tiny tick in the field near Liberty's right shoulder, and two small toning spots present on the reverse, one on each side of the eagle's neck. Boldly clashed dies, obverse and reverse. The strike is decent for a San Francisco Mint coin of the period, although Liberty's curls and a few nearby stars are soft. Another tough coin to find this well preserved, despite the generous mintage, not many were saved.
