1846 WB.101. Medium Date. Brilliant Proof. Razor-sharp definition on the devices and the fields are reflective as expected for a Proof issue. However, there are traces of porosity around the rims where something disturbed the surfaces. This does not affect the devices or fields beyond the denticles, so most of the eye appeal and surface quality is intact. An interesting coin that retains the delicate mirror fields surrounding the devices, and desirable despite the rim problems. A thin die crack extends through most of the legend and denomination on the reverse. An interesting coin to study and worthy of further research.
