A rather attractive coin for the grade, with traces of lustre in the protected areas, pleasing steel gray color with a hint of peripheral gold, and decent surfaces. An early die state with trace evidence of the usually seen encircling die cracks through the stars and legend. Scarce this nice, and in demand for the short-lived type and obverse mintmark.
