Minor hairlines from a light cleaning are detectable on either side, and the coin has developed peripheral green and russet hues. Lustre remains in the fields, and the coin is still appealing. An average strike for this later die state, with the bisecting crack on the reverse, and two peripheral cracks through the legend. Die clashing is clear on both the obverse and reverse. A plentiful variety, even in this late die state, but always in strong collector demand for this level of quality on an early Bust Half Dollar.
