1868 Brilliant Proof, nearly of Choice quality. There is a pleasant offering of russet-golden toning that is augmented by areas of royal-blue peripheral iridescence. This same toning nicely conceals light hairlines. The fields, furthermore, retain a full measure of mirror-reflectivity. A total of 600 Proofs of this date were coined.
