1803/2 Br.1-C, BD-54. (R-4) Fine. A pleasing example that shows none of the harsh cleaning or mounting that are usually encountered on early U.S. gold coins. The surfaces are honey gold with red gold highlights. The coin has seen its share of time in commerce but all of its details are quite vivid. The overdate is also quite vivid and the right feet of all T's in the motto are missing, which is indicative of this variety. A wholesome and appealing example. NGC F15.
