 1895 Repunching is evident at the upper serif of the '1' in the date (a characteristic encountered on a rather small minority of the known proofs). Choice Brilliant Proof. Sharp, frosted devices and mirrored fields are accented by a delicate blush of golden-tan toning.1 Hints of deeper russet are also noted at the extreme right reverse periphery. The proof mintage for this issue totals only 880 pieces.
