1846 '6' Over Horizontal '6'. WB.104. Choice About Uncirculated. An outstanding and lovely coin that is bathed in gorgeous old sea green, russet and blue toning. The strike is quite sharp and the underlying sideways '6' is clearly evident. As usual, this is a later die state with small rim breaks below the date and another above 'UNIT' on the reverse. Excellent surfaces for this ever popular issue, with no distracting cuts or scratches. While not the finest to exist, this is a respectable example of one of the most dramatic repunched dates in numismatics. A simply stunning example that would be hard to best for visual appeal, and certain to command considerable attention.
