1844'O' WB.101. Normal Date. Brilliant Uncirculated, and virtually Choice. Satiny lustre throughout and boldly struck by the dies. The surfaces have faint hairlines and tiny ticks, but are much nicer than often encountered. Although a common variety, the present coin boasts good eye appeal. Toned with a touch of gold near the rims, and satiny silver-gray elsewhere. The vertical shield lines extend well into the horizontal lines, and below the border as well.
Ex Maurice Bauman Collection (Stack's, December 1966, lot 95).
