Satiny lustre throughout and boldly struck by the dies. The surfaces have faint hairlines and tiny ticks, but are much nicer than often encountered. Although a common variety, the present coin boasts good eye appeal. Toned with a touch of gold near the rims, and satiny silver-gray elsewhere. The vertical shield lines extend well into the horizontal lines, and below the border as well.

Ex Maurice Bauman Collection (Stack's, December 1966, lot 95).
