Beautiful rose-gold with teal on the obverse and reverse, toning which comes alive when examined under a light. The strike is sharp on Liberty's curls and the eagle, but most of the obverse stars lack their central definition. No rim marks or adjustment marks distract the eye, and the uppermost devices show just a trace of rub or cabinet friction. As such, this coin is certainly well up in the Condition Census for the variety and may in fact be tied with a couple of others for the coveted Finest Known position, if the other About Uncirculated coins listed in Herrman's AMBPR could be compared together. Another splendid collector coin that exudes quality, eye appeal and desirability.

Ex The Queller Family Collection of Half Dollars (Stack's, October 2002, lot 38); Stack's Sale of March 1992, lot 1168.
