 1912 Very Choice Brilliant Proof, virtually of Gem quality. There are a few very minor, inconspicuous obverse specks, as well as some unevenness in coloration on the reverse. The overall appearance of this example, however, is quite smooth and appealing. Serene, frosty devices and fully mirrored fields are awash in shades of lilac and russet toning. The proof mintage for this date totals 700 pieces, the majority of the survivors of which cannot compare to this handsome coin.
