1907'D' Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. Whereas the immediately preceding example of this date was essentially white, this exquisite coin features outstanding coloration. Warm sunset-gold, olive-jade, and aqua-blue iridescence encircles the periphery on either side. The interiors are accented by an ever so pale shade of delicate gold. It is not only the coloration that is appealing on this coin, however. The strike, lustre, and surface quality are also far better than normally encountered on a Barber Half Dollar regardless of the date. This wholesome, wonderfully honest, unmolested specimen will certainly be a highlight in any advanced collection! Bid liberally if you plan on having any chance of winning this lot.
Ex Arthur Stewart Collection (Stack's, May 4, 1972, lot 1100).
