1818 O.107. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. A satiny delight that retains mint fresh lustre throughout, overlayed with a dusting of russet and gray. The strike is sharp on the stars save for the first and eighth, both of which show minor softness at their centers. The curls on Liberty show good definition, and the eagle's talons are bold. Outstanding surfaces for an early Capped Bust Half Dollar, with no distracting nicks or scratches, keeping this one solidly in the Gem classification. Early die state with no cracks or signs of clashing. PCGS MS65.
