1869 Var.105a (R-4). Long flag on the '1' in the date. Some light die clashing is visible on ether side. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated and an absolutely stunning specimen. Pastel hues at areas of the periphery glorify rich golden interiors. There is an unbroken silken, semi-mirrored cascade of mint lustre on either side. True Gems of this elusive date are few and far between indeed!
These dies were also used to strike proofs of this date, as were two other 1869 die pairs.
