1823/2 JR-3 (R-2). Large E's. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Obverse type: Liberty's capped bust facing left. LIBERTY engraved around the base of her cap, 1823/2 overdate below her bust. Reverse type: Modified heraldic eagle derived from the Great Seal of the United States of America. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the upper half of the rim. Large E's. E PLURIBUS UNUM on a scroll above the eagle's head. Denomination '10 C' below the eagle. A pleasing example of a variety that is rarely found Choice. The obverse is toned in a rich gray and pale rose, while the reverse is a combination of bright iridescent blue green around a very deep rose gray center. A light toning line or mint-made lamination can be seen in the lower left obverse field.
