
1820 JR-8 (R-3). Brilliant Uncirculated. Obverse type: Liberty's capped bust facing left. LIBERTY engraved around the base of her cap, 1820 below her bust. Reverse type: Modified heraldic eagle derived from the Great Seal of the United States of America. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the upper half of the rim. E PLURIBUS UNUM on a scroll above the eagle's head. Denomination '10 C' below the eagle. The obverse is light gray most everywhere save in the center where the shade is an even lighter one. The reverse, in contrast, is light silver gray in the center, with a pale iridescent rose wash, while the periphery is a beautiful iridescent and nearly electric blue.
