LIBERTY engraved around the base of her cap, large 1814 below her bust. Reverse type: Modified heraldic eagle derived from the Great Seal of the United States of America. UNITED STATESOFAMERICA around the upper half of the rim. E PLURIBUS UNUM on a scroll above the eagle's head. Denomination '10 C' below the eagle. A spectacular Gem specimen and a definite candidate for the finest known of this Red Book listed variety. The Lovejoy Collection coin. This variety missing from the Eliasberg Collection. The obverse of this piece is toned in a rich, lustrous, iridescent purple and light blue green. The reverse is a lighter shade of the same colors. The surfaces are lustrous and the piece shows some reflectivity.
