1805 JR-2 (R-2). 4 Berries. Brilliant Uncirculated. Obverse type: Liberty's draped bust facing right. LIBERTY above, 1805 below. Reverse type: Heraldic eagle derived from the Great Seal of the United States of America. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around. 4 berries on the branch. A lovely specimen of this issue, one of only about 20 or so that grade this nice. A really spectacular example of this variety. Both sides are deeply toned in gold and silver gray in the centers, while the peripheries are wreathed in deep gold and iridescent blue, these fields are bright and lustrous, those on the reverse, particularly, with nearly full mint frost showing on this side. A few light toning lines are noted on each side.
