
1798 JR-4 (R-3). 13 Stars. Large '8'. About Uncirculated. Obverse type: Liberty's draped bust facing right. LIBERTY above, 1798 below. Large '8' in date. 13 stars around. Reverse type: Heraldic eagle derived from the Great Seal of the United States of America. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around. 13 stars above eagle's head. A second opportunity to acquire a high grade example of this date and variety. The centers on both sides of this piece are light silver gray while the peripheries are toned a pale gold. There is an interesting and attractive light iridescent blue wash on both sides. Some minor obverse streaks are noted.
