1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony. Pine Tree Threepence. N.36, Cr.2a-B. R-4. 19.1 gns. Choice Extremely...1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony. Pine Tree Threepence. N.36, Cr.2a-B. R-4. 19.1 gns. Choice Extremely Fine. A high grade example. Both sides of this attractive specimen are toned in silver gray and light russet shades. The obverse is perfectly centered with the tree full, the inner beaded border complete and the peripheral legend around fully legible and entirely on the flan. Portions of the outer beaded border can be seen on this side. The reverse, similarly, is about perfectly centered with all of the letters in the legend fully legible, the denomination and date bold and the inner beaded border just a little soft at the bottom.
