 1879'O' Choice Extremely Fine. Limited circulation can be detected on the devices, rich red-gold toning outlines the bold reliefs, date and legend. This reverse displays a very small New Orleans mintmark that leans sharply to the right. Only seven coins of this grade have appeared at auction in the decade studied by Dannreuther and Garrett and with a mintage of only 1,500 pieces, it is no wonder that this issue is supremely rare today.
