Substantial Mint lustre glows around the sharply defined reliefs to assure powerful visual appeal. One of 2,244 struck of the last Quarter Eagle produced at Dahlonega and a coin fully comparable to the James A. Stack example that was among the finest known. It may be years before any specimen of remotely similar quality appears at auction.
