1835 JR-1 (R-1). Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Obverse type: Liberty's capped bust facing left. LIBERTY engraved around the base of her cap, 1835 below her bust. Reverse type: Modified heraldic eagle derived from the Great Seal of the United States of America. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the upper half of the rim. E PLURIBUS UNUM on a scroll above the eagle's head. '10C' denomination below the eagle. A choice specimen of a variety that is quite rare in Uncirculated condition. The best the JR reference editors had ever seen was one graded MS65. Both the obverse and reverse of this piece are toned in pale gold and gray shades. The fields are lustrous, bright, and frosty.
