1855 Arrows. Very Choice Brilliant Proof. A microscopically exact strike is demonstrated by the meticulous details of Liberty's face, drapery and shield and in the reverse wreath. Careful study of the reverse shows a couple of tiny haymarks at the center. The number of Proofs of this date is not known, though the late Walter Breen traced 12 pieces, some of which might be the same coin repeated. NGC has certified eight, five of these as Proof-64, subject to the same caveat as Breen's total. Be that as it may, the present coin is one of the finest likely to be encountered by today's collectors and will richly reward the closest attention. NGC PF64.
