Surfaces are a pleasing dark coffee brown with some minor porosity and circulation marks. Vlack 4-75A is virtually unknown in the upper circulated grades, make pleasing, lower grade specimens like this very desirable. The reverse is struck from the late state of the die, the center indistinct due to failure in that area. Although most British made George III contemporary counterfeit Halfpence are dated 1775, Vlack 4-75A is the unique variety of this date in the Machin's Mills series.
