1908'S' Brilliant Uncirculated and on the threshold of Choice. Here is an unusually high grade example of this great San Francisco rarity, revealed as High R-6 by David Akers in-depth research. The strike is extremely full with a wealth of resulting detail. The coin's lustrous surfaces exhibit light orange-gold with some tiny obverse bagmarks as so often seen. The reverse is really fully Choice and the coin's general visual quality must be called high. This Branch Mint's undeniable rarity is mirrored in the PCGS Population Report, which states that only 309 examples have been certified in all grades, only 22 in this elusive high grade. PCGS MS62.
