1787 Massachusetts Cent. Ryder 1-D (R-3-). 145.3 gns. Very Fine, essentially Choice. Surfaces are hard and glossy, with a deep chestnut brown hue and lighter, golden-brown highlights in the fields of both obverse and reverse. There is some weakness at 'TTS' and the corresponding area of the obverse, mostly likely the result of some inherent planchet thinness in that area. Here is a very appealed, well-detailed and fully dated specimen of the type.
