Machin's Mills (Atlee) Halfpence. 1787 Vlack 21-II-87D-II (R-4). Very Fine. Well-detailed on both sides, with dark brown surfaces and ruddy highlights. Planchet is wavy, with some ancient surface scuffs and edge scrapes; 1788 Vlack 23-88A. Fine. Surfaces are hard and glossy but exhibit areas of verdigris. Rims are bruised on both sides. High points are worn to a bright coppery hue; 1774 Vlack 8-74A (R-4). Very Good, or finer. Pleasing, light brown surfaces exhibit some darker tones on both sides. Gently porous, but not disturbingly so; 3 pieces.
