1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 63-q (R-3). Morristown Mint. 149.8 grains. Choice Extremely Fine. A pleasing and solidly collectible example of another of the well executed broad planchet Morristown Mint varieties. The obverse and reverse are both glossy in appearance and the surfaces appear smooth and hard to the naked eye. The piece is a nice, rich olive brown with a trace of deeper color on the back. There are one or two marks on both sides but none really important. Some old scratches can be seen. The reverse shows the late state of the break on the upper left corner of the shield.
